Logins, Registration and Profile Help Registering on the RTT Web Site Click below for help on the following subjects: Creating a login for RTT Members and non-Member, converting a non-Members account using your Membership number and PIN. Login Problems If you encounter problems logging in, please request a password reminder and ensure that your browser is set to accept session cookies before attempting to log in again. If you are still unable to log in, use the online form to contact the Webmaster and include a description of the problem you encountered. PIN Numbers PINs were notified to existing members with the 2001-2003 subscription notices. New members receive a notification after joining. Adding and Amending Addresses To add or amend your contact address, log in and follow the appropriate link from the Contact Details page. Changing the Password and Secret Question To change your password or secret question and answer, log in to My RTT and click on the Change Password link in the left-hand menu. The password can be changed without changing the Secret Question and answer, and vice-versa. Joining Online Communities To join an online community such as the Professional Networks, log in and select Communities from the left-hand menu on your Personal Homepage. After doing this, check the appropriate boxes for the networks you would like to join. Web Site Content Help Restricted Areas and Committees Some Web site services are restricted to specific groups of users, such as members of a Professional Network or RTT committees. You must be logged in for the Web site to be able to identify you and allow access to restricted areas. Search Help The RTT Web site uses a Verity search engine. Typically, this will be used simply to search for a set of keywords. In this situation, search adopts the default behaviour set out below. If a more closely tailored search is required, boolean searches can be performed. The search index contains both standard Web pages and PDF documents. Plug-ins and Helper Applications The RTT Web site contains certain types of file that require aditional software in order for a Web browser to be able to play or display them. Changing font sizes on this Web site Whilst these pages are designed to be viewed with the intended font sizes, we recognise that some users may prefer a larger font. The way in which you change the size depends on your browser. Printing For a printable version of most pages, click on the print version icon at the top of the page. Cookies and the RTT Web site (Updated 28/02/2002) The RTT Web site uses cookies to maintain log-on sessions, for discussions and shopping, and in some advertising.
